About CMT Industries

CMT Industries is a locally owned and operated commercial door contractor serving Alabama, Mississippi, and the Florida Panhandle. Founded on the Gulf Coast and built around a single focus — commercial door and entrance systems — we bring specialized expertise to every facility we work in, from hospitals and industrial warehouses to retail centers and government buildings.

Built Here. Built for This.

CMT Industries was founded by a Mobile native with deep roots in the Gulf Coast commercial construction industry. From day one, the focus was singular — build a dedicated commercial door contractor with the expertise, the equipment, and the hands-on commitment that complex commercial facilities require.

What started as an owner-operated business remains exactly that today. The same people who founded CMT are still involved in the work — bringing the same standards and accountability to every project that have defined the company from the beginning.

Commercial Only.

From day one, CMT has operated exclusively in the commercial space. That singular focus shapes everything — the training our technicians receive, the products we specify, and the compliance requirements we navigate daily. NFPA 80, Joint Commission, ADA, local AHJ — these aren't occasional considerations for CMT, they're the framework every project is built around.

The result is a team with deep, focused expertise in commercial door and entrance systems. Every technician, every specification, and every project decision is informed by years of working exclusively in commercial, healthcare, industrial, retail, educational, and government facilities across the Gulf Coast.

Gulf Coast Roots. Gulf Coast Focus.

Mobile is home. CMT Industries was founded here, operates here, and understands this region in a way that comes from years of working directly in Gulf Coast commercial facilities.

That local knowledge shapes the work. Gulf Coast weather puts real demands on door and entrance systems — humidity, heat, and storm exposure are factors in every product specification and installation decision CMT makes.

The commercial development patterns across Mobile, Baldwin County, the Mississippi Coast, and the Florida Panhandle inform the kinds of projects we take on and the solutions we deliver. The relationships we have built with general contractors, facility directors, and property managers across this region reflect years of consistent, reliable work in the communities we call home.

What Working With CMT Looks Like.

Two men shaking hands in a modern office building corridor, one dressed as a maintenance worker with tools, the other in business attire holding a black folder.

Working with CMT starts with a straightforward conversation — understanding your facility, your needs, and what the work actually involves. From there, the process is clear: accurate scope, honest timelines, and technicians who arrive prepared and work to commercial standards from start to finish.

The facilities we serve tend to need ongoing support — preventive maintenance, periodic inspections, the occasional emergency. Those ongoing relationships are something we actively invest in. The property managers, facility directors, and general contractors who call us year after year do so because the work holds up and the relationship is worth maintaining.

Locally Owned

CMT Industries is locally owned and operated by its founders — the same people involved in the business from day one are the ones making decisions and standing behind the work today.

Commercial Specialists

Every technician, every product specification, and every compliance requirement CMT handles is commercial. A focused practice, built entirely around the demands of commercial facilities — it's the only work we do.

Hands-On Leadership

CMT's leadership stays involved in the work — which means accountability at every level of the operation, not just on paper.

Gulf Coast Expertise

We know this region — its facilities, its contractors, its climate, and its codes. That local knowledge isn't incidental to what we do, it's central to how we do it well.
